I have been assisting at the studio - Refelective photography, owned by George coppock. I wanted to get more knowledge on how professional deal with clients and basically earn a living. ww.Georgecoppock.com is his website. Sally Shoot

I was asked by Sally to take some family photographs, She just wanted a simple bleached out background and colourful portraits similar to the 'Lisa shoot' ( Lisa referred me to Sally).

Some shots came out really well portraying them as a happy close family with nice colour contrast and with the use of cropping made some interesting portraits.

The biggest problem i had was, the baby smiling he seem to smile when the camera wasn't on him and the other problem was getting every one smiling at the same time.

This was one of my favorite family portrait shoots that i have done, purely because the client just wanted her two sons photographed and because they were at the age were they done care about there looks, but didn't want to get told off by their mum, so they basically did everything I asked. I enjoyed the shoot because the two boys were great together,the younger boy always wanted to mimic the young boy and this just made my life so much easier.

The most challenging thing about the shoot was 'space' ( very little of it to set up) and th older boy had large front teeth that his mum didn't want in the image because she said the looked 'goofy', my response was that its your sons face he should smile as he wishes but at the end of the day she is paying me and if that what she wants thats what she will get.
